The School of Management and Engineering Vaud, in French, the Haute Ecole d'Ingénierie et de Gestion du Canton de Vaud (HEIG-VD) was born from the merger of the Ecole d'Ingénieurs du Canton de Vaud (EIVD) and the Haute Ecole de Gestion du Canton de Vaud (HEG-VD).

Located in Yverdon-les-Bains, it promotes innovation and competitiveness of companies and participates in the renewal of the economic fabric of the canton and the regions thanks to :

  • education (Bachelor's, Master's and continuing education);
  • and applied research (Ra&D).

It offers nine HES Bachelor's degree programs in engineering and business economics, deployed in three modes of training: full-time, part-time and on-the-job. Today, it welcomes more than 2,000 Bachelor students. The HEIG-VD participates in the HES-SO's Master's courses in the fields of engineering and business economics. It also offers certified continuing education courses (CAS, DAS, MAS and EMBA).

More than 300 professors, researchers, lecturers, scientific collaborators and professionals from the world of business and industry are involved in applied research activities (Ra&D), whether in the form of mandates, expertise, advice, internal training or actual research projects. On average, more than 200 research projects are carried out each year in the HEIG-VD's 9 R&D institutes, groups and competence centers.
